So I was so stupid again today/last night. I got home and I vegged in front of the computer for hours, until like two a.m. actually. I can't say it was complete veg. I got most of my trust set up, but also saw some Riverdale episodes and went through some of the Estate Planning Boot Camp stuff.
I woke up in time to write, but kept hawing until my time had run. Then I went to the 6:30 Shiva house minyan. Then my daily page class. Then I went and had the oil changed in the car, came home, rowed, went to the office, was an almost complete zombie, but still reviewed five cases, sat with the elder Mrs. Altieri, and explored the basement. I finally gave up, got back to Stamford by 4:30, realized the window I needed to get beach stickers closed at 3:45, and then drove around the south side until I found Prime, the place of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce Summer Party. I stay there, having much fun, until Mincha time, went to pray, came home, played a game with mom and Yvonne, ate an egg and then potato salad and salad, and then came downstairs, where I went to the bathroom and deposited the salads.
I'm amazed at how quickly it went through me. And that no one needs to know, except that I am shooting for 100 kilo by the time Sharleen gets here if she gets here, and let's say 96 by the time I get back.
I also got a message from your mom that the bus driver asked about me. That was really sweet. I feel bad I'm not there for you all.
And now ten ideas, then I call your mom. How about how to get more sleep:
- no coffee
- no electricity
- no phone
- no computer
- electricity timed to shut off at my bed time
- schedule better
- say no to at least three things a day
- limit the number of games I play when I am playing games with someone
- limit the number of games I am playing in life
- empower an accountability partner
- create consequences I care about
- move closer to work
- build better systems
- empower others to build better systems for me
- find more reasons to go to bed
- find one of those old clock radios to put me to sleep
